Business Planning and Finances
Confederation College Entrepreneurship Series
HOW THIS BOOK WILL HELP YOU
Business Planning and Finances takes a pragmatic and hands-on approach to business planning and financial management, and is written in straightforward language free of technical jargon. It includes a thorough review of the role of planning, the benefits to be realized from planning, and the use of a plan as a management aid.
The book contains detailed "how to" chapters for each key element of a business plan. Written for use by the managers of both new and existing businesses alike, it includes a variety of tools, templates and methods that can be employed to develop an operational business plan.
The authors, writing with young companies in mind, paid particular attention to the critical role of cash flow planning and management. Their work includes a methodology and spreadsheets for analyzing start-up financing requirements and breakeven analysis under differing cost and price assumptions.
